Who is responsible for this
Pallidan is a sole proprietorship operating under a trade licence in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The full registered address is available on request from legal@pallidan.com.
Anything about this policy, or about data we hold, goes to legal@pallidan.com.
What this website collects
This website collects nothing about you.
- This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no privacy-first alternative, no self-hosted equivalent.
- No advertising tags, no tracking pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps.
- No requests to another company's servers. The typefaces are served from this domain, the images are served from this domain, and the site carries no content delivery network, no embedded video and no third-party widget.
- No account, no login, no profile.
You can check this yourself. Open your browser's network panel and load any page on this site: every request goes to pallidan.com.
What our host receives
Serving a website means receiving a request for it, and a request carries information whether anyone intends it to or not. That is the one qualification on the clause above.
This site is hosted by Vercel. When your browser asks for a page, its servers receive your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser's user agent string and the time of the request. The same is true of every website you have ever opened, and it is a property of how the web works rather than a choice we made.
Vercel retains that data for a limited period as part of running its service, and uses it to deliver the site, keep it available and defend it against abuse, under its own privacy policy. We build no profiles from it and use it for no marketing purpose.
How the contact form works
The form in the contact section is a mailto form, and that changes what happens to what you type.
When you press the button, your browser opens your own mail application with a draft already composed from the fields you filled in. At that moment nothing has been sent and nothing has reached us. You are looking at a draft in your own software, which you can edit, or close, or send.
There is no server endpoint behind this form. No database receives it and no form service processes it. Between you and your own mail client there is nothing that could store what you typed.
What happens when you email us
Once you send that draft, or write to us directly, we hold what you sent us: your name, your company, your email address, and whatever you chose to tell us about your business.
We use it to reply, to work out whether we are the right fit, and to scope work if we are. It goes on no mailing list and reaches nobody for marketing purposes.
Our email runs on Zoho Mail, so your message is stored on its servers in the ordinary way that all email is stored, under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that turns into work is kept for the life of the engagement, and afterwards for as long as our tax and accounting obligations require.
An enquiry that goes nowhere is kept for two years, so a conversation that restarts can pick up where it stopped, and is deleted after that.
You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any point, and clause 09 covers how.
Who we share it with
Nobody.
We sell no data and hand none to advertisers or data brokers. The only outside parties that touch anything are the two named above: the host that serves you this page, and the provider that carries our email. Both act on our instructions to deliver a service, and neither has any right to use what passes through it for their own purposes.
If a law or a court order ever compelled disclosure, we would comply, and we would tell you unless the order forbade it.
Links that leave this site
One thing on this site takes you somewhere else.
The phone numbers in the footer open WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta under its own privacy policy. Starting a chat there involves Meta's service as much as it involves us.
Once you arrive, we have no visibility of what Meta records.
Your rights over what we hold
Bangladesh has no comprehensive data protection statute in force, so this section is a commitment we are choosing to make rather than a law we are reciting.
Whoever you are, and wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you everything we hold about you
- correct anything in it that is wrong
- delete all of it
Write to legal@pallidan.com and we will do it within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not ask you to justify the request.
Visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and California hold rights under their own laws. We answer requests on the same terms whichever of those applies to you.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. The date at the top of this page records when it last changed.
One commitment about how that happens: if we ever add analytics, a cookie, or anything else that collects data about visitors, this page changes before that goes live.
